Good deal all around, for everyteam
Mariners will still suck
No they got better
Surprised A's gave away Cole.
Young2Kinsler you were totally forgetting about Zunino.
I think each team made out well in this trade though Cole is pretty projectable.

good trade. Cole was brutal in High A, and wasnt going to be a factor for 3-4 years in Oakland anyways. Jaso gives us a little something something RIGHT NOWJ
Unleash the Mamba!
Awful trade for the M's
To the person I was talking to:
Morse didnt play full time. He played 103 games and was injured. Its not fair to completely judge him on one injury laden season.
Also, expect regression from Jaso. He is a platoon catcher and will always hit righties well, but not as well as he did last year most likely.
I am not a huge fan of the deal, but you overreacted big time.
Jaso Career: .255/.359/.395, .337 wOBA, 116 wRC+, 5.4 WAR in 311 games, 297 of them against RHP.
Morse career: .295/.347/.492, .363 wOBA, 127 wRC+, 6.1 WAR in 485 games.

Will do Booz
The issue is less that they swapped Jaso specifically for Morse, more that they swapped 3 years of a pretty valuable catcher for one year of a 1B/DH type (who I guess can try to masquerade as a LFer again) and in the process made one of the three teams ahead of them in that division even better.
Flags Fly Forever
That is true, but you have to realize Jaso only played against righties last year. Now we have Zunino (one of the top young catchers in the league) who will likely be in the bigs by 2014. Montero is taking over the starting role behind the plate. And yes, Jaso could DH, but he would likely be behind Smoak and Morales for at-bats.
Jaso is a great situational player, but he isn't someone who can start every game. While Morse's D isn't the best, he can flat out hit lefties and righties.
