Porblem is, it wasn't Sheed stretching the floor that made him so good for us, he was a defensive presence. He's like Shumpert and Chandler, they communicate and yell out orders, he'll be missed.

Sheed basically held down the front court off the bench when Amare and Camby were down, in no way should the knicks cut bait on Sheed right now.

I'm sure in a week or two well know more about his injury. Hes worth waiting for, however if he is done for the season the knicks will most certainly cut him and bring in K-Mart or Birdman for some depth. We really need to draft a big man this year or sign a young PF/C this offseason.

Kmart would he a perfect fit. he plays tough, rebounds, blocks, scores a little bit and has played with Camby, Melo, Jr, and Kidd.

Birdman is a fallback option, he reboubds, blocks, brings energy and hustle, but is more injury prone the Kmart , less talented, and less intimidating.

I would wait as long as possible to cut him. His presence was HUGE and will be missed greatly.

I don't care if he doesn't play a game from now until the playoffs. The way we played with Sheed on the floor was the best ball we played all season...all decade.

This seems a bit premature, especially with Woodson saying he'll be back.

But if he's done, I'd sign Josh Harrelson back over Kmart. Josh signed a 10 day contract with MIA but still isn't getting minutes so chances are he'll be available again next week.

He's a big body, can rebound, and can stretch the floor like Sheed. And he's young.

Before Jorts broke his wrist, he was our best 3 point shooter. Thats why i loved him. but i dont want him back..

hope this isnt true and we can get sheed back in the playoffs at least. it was awesome while it lasted.
