I think people underestimate how hard it is to play into your 30's. We see guys like Kobe doing it and think anyone can do it. Truth is, not a lot of players can sustain that high level of play.
I think it's Kobe's for the taking if he wants it. It really depends on how long he wants to play. MJ played until he was 40, I think Kobe could do it.
The way Kobe takes care of his body is key. He's gotten more efficient and became a better scorer since the season started.
#24 Kobe "The Black Mamba" Bryant
Bryant will get it, he's always been about padding his stats, & mark my words, there's no way he retires until he passes Kareem
it's funny to think about how many point MJ would have if he played until age 40 without retiring twice. 42k+
then imagine if he started when he was 18 instead of 21. 47k?

Lebron will pass Kobe, but not Kareem. He won't be as athletic as he gets older, which is his bread and butter. He'll be forced to take more jump shots which he better improve on.
I think KD will break the scoring record.
Five rounds went by in the 2000 draft... After 198 other players had been chosen, the Patriots drafted him in the sixth round.
Owner Robert Kraft recalls the night he was leaving the old Foxboro Stadium when he saw "this skinny beanpole" carrying a pizza. "He comes up and says, 'Mr. Kraft, I'm Tom Brady.' I said, 'I know who you are, you're our sixth-round draft choice from Michigan.' "And he looked me right in the eye and he said, 'and I'm the best decision this organization has ever made.' "

Miami Heat- (4-1) So much for sweeping our way to a title
Miami Dolphins- (0-0) Awaiting new season
Miami Marlins- (10-24) When will the suffering end?
UM Hurricanes- (7-5) 1st in ACC Coast
I don't see anyone passing Kareem. His production into his late years was absolutely ridiculous. And unlike athleticism, size never goes out of style...
Kareem played past 40 yrs old at a pretty decent level too. You cant beat that endurance.
#KNICKS TAPED PLAYOFFS 2013
Don't think Lebron has much of a shot. Maybe Kobe cuz he can stay such a good shooter as he gets older. Lebron won't be able to drive to the basket as well as he gets older and he's not a good enough jump shooter like Kobe is.
But probably no one will pass Jabbar.
