    No better way to start the season than beating Les Habs.

    I voted No. Just so I won't be disappointed.

    Doesn't look like PK will be playing because he's still not signed. That's good news.

    I get a kick out of PK and the other RFA's holding out. Not so much for them holding out, but just the timing of it all. 4 1/2 months the league's locked out with the league and the PA fighting over money. A deal finally gets negotiated, agreed, ratified and now these guys are holding out over.... money. Kinda funny.

    to be fair, this is the easiest season for them to stage a holdout if thats what they want. only 48 games missed. Sure his cap will be a flat # but whatever he signs to he will only get a portion of that because his salary this year will be pro-rated. If the MTL D struggles then he has more leverage. I wouldn't be surprised to see or holdout of two

    I know what you're saying. It's just the irony of it all. It's hilarious.

    Members of the media at the Blue and White scrimmage yesterday said Scriven's looked head and shouders ahead of Reimer. The AHL was certainly an advantage to alot of guys these last few months.

    @GinoRedaTSN:
    Leafs will give away 1,000 tickets to fans between now and home opener. Season ticket holders will also receive free ticket to home opener.
    Also, Leaf alumni will be on hand to welcome fans to the home opener and hand out free scarves.
    That means almost half the tickets to the Leafs home opener will be free. About 7500 to season ticket holders and another 1000 given away.
    Correction: Every single seat for the Leafs home opener on Monday is free!
    All season ticket holders will get their tickets free, & the rest of the seats will be given away through promotions over the next few days
    Not first game related but we don't have a game 2 thread so i thought i'd put it here.

    We'll have a game 2 thread for sure. That said, that is awesome!
