    Don Kelley is back

Tigers signed INF/OF Don Kelly to a minor league contract with a spring training invite.
Kelly became a free agent in October after he was outrighted off the Tigers' 40-man roster and refused a minor league assignment, but he has returned to the organization. The 32-year-old batted just .186/.276/.248 with one home run and a .523 OPS in 127 plate appearances last season. He'll have to have a big spring to win a spot on the Opening Day roster.

He's equivalent to Herpes. You just cant get rid of it.

He makes our bench so much better. I mean, you can't get better then Santiago, Berry, Kelly, and Worth.

Just a bad move considering we already have to choose between the lefties Boesch and Berry let alone our rule 5 pickup guy.

I agree I don't understand it beyond the fact that the guy could fill a role in toldeo and just a body for spring trainging unless he comes to spring batting .650 with a 1.400 obps. yes the numbers are my opinion but I honestly believe it will have to be some sort of numbers that blow your mind to make a 25 man roster let alone the 40.

At least Gene isn't coaching at third anymore, so maybe Magglio would be ok.

Raburn, Kelly, Boesch, Holaday and Worth can all occupy a seat in the Mud Hens dugout.
