    Pass.

Broken down has been who can't play the field. Plus, another left hander. Need some more balance. Mayyyyybe one a minor league deal worth 1-2 mil including incentives, but nothing other than that,

    No one.

The Yankees have a need for an additional bat.

Also, Arod might not even be back all season

Thats exactly what he would get. A Raul Ibanez/Eric Chavez type contract from last year.

Which is why he is worth the investment. Even is he was broken down in Cleveland, get him into a new environment and he could have a swan song type season. Its worth the shot

    That is a joke, right?

Get Pronk and his .450 SLG in Yankee Stadium and watch him go off.

The Yankees signed Ibanez when his SLG was .419 the year before and look how good he did.

"And let’s not forget that even with all his health risks, it’s not like Hafner has lost his ability to hit. He hit 12 HR, posted a 12.2% BB rate, .210 ISO, and .342 wOBA in the 66 games he played in 2012, and has had wOBA values about .350 in each of the 3 seasons prior."
From the link I posted earlier which obviously rrzubnyy did not read.

Can I confirm that Hafner will be stay healthy? No
Can you confirm that Hafner will get injured again? No

So we are even. And I like the WAR he provides this team when he is healthy

The Yanks are looking for a right handed bat who can play the OF. Hafner is a leftt handed bat who should never be allowed to touch a glove...

You need to remember, the Yanks don't need a full time DH. Mid-Season when A-Rod is cleared, you will have Youk and A-Rod to deal with 3rd and the Other can DH...That means whoever they get at this point, will have to play some time in the OF....

    A couple big ifs there.
    1. Will ARod be healthy mid season?
    2. Will Youk be healthy mid season?

Agreed. Cashman has done well with Vet signings the past few years, so why not?

I stand corrected from an earlier post.

The only player I can't stand worse than Vazquez, Johnson, and Drew is this clown.

    Absolutely not.

At least I'm trying to get some creative discussion on these boards. That emphatic NO! only makes you look foolish here.

Even the fans in Cleveland were sad to see him go and they know his injury history better than anyone.

Give him a 1 year deal with incentives and let him supply some power at DH. In this market he could be a diamond in the rough. You see low key signings like this pay offs all the time. Cashman is very successful at it.

The potential reward far exceeds the potential downside.

The blog above was posted 1 hour ago and it agrees with my idea.
You're advocating for an overweight, lumbering, strikeout clown when our offense has continuously proven time and time again that swing forthe fences, gut or get out hitters fail in October baseball and you're calling me a fool?

Life would've been so much easier if we had seriously engaged Morse.

Make no mistake, Cano is a talented guy with a high ceiling.

Cano however has consistently demonstrated a galling lack of focus and hustle in his approach and in his play. He was even called out for it by ARod a couple of years ago and made some improvements as a result.

Cano's cost going forward is where you and I disagree on his worth.

Unless a curve ball f epic proportions hits the negotiating table, he's goingto seek and will be in line to command a historical payday come the end ofthis year. If he re-ups with us before then someone is sure to be on the losing end for the amounts that will have to be bandied about to make that occur.

Cano has never once demonstrated any semblance of anything even remotely resembling leadership and appears quite lazy, to boot.

I don't hate him but I don't respect whe his future lies either.

We could be very well staring down an extremely lengthy contract three years in with very serious payroll implications going forward for more of the same. Cano will not produce anything more than he has.

I do not hate Robinson Cano.

Nowehere near the utter contempt and disrespect I hold for Nick Johnson.
