The team's biggest need is fans that go to the home games, get on their feet and scream the whole game. The fans that do this are the only ones who have the right to complain!!!!!!
always wanted to be a procrastinator but never got around to it!
Kobe dribble hand off to Dwight . Other teams don't expect it and either does Dwight . Something to be said for chemistry .
you can see earl clark 2 ways...sell while stock is high and see this as a fluke....or 2 keep him since he fits can hit outside jump shots (unlike sissy concussion) and play solid defense.
morris works extremely hard and was a pass first PG in college and could learn a lot under nash. and has the athletic ability and the work ethic of a kobe. so i would like to keep morris. although might move him more to the bench unless defensive assignment.
blake + duhon one has to go
--------------
ebanks - thought he was going to be our durant stopper - guess i was wrong he has to go
meeks - think he needs to be packaged in a gasol trade since meeks has value if only a little more than he is being paid
-------------
clark - i say sell while stock is high but that's just me maybe we hold onto him since he is playing very very well
j.hill - we gotta keep although now with his injury and he is often injured due to the intensity he plays with could of said the same about hill sell while stock is high. but i like j.hill for the future of the franchise with d12. i would like j.hill be our starting power forward next year. the dennis rodman rebound master and hustle guy and needs to contine to work on his shot and defense. if he can be a defense and rebound specialise he doesn't have to shoot. he can just set screens. back door cuts etc.
jamison - sad since i'm unc guy but don't think he fits at all and needs to be traded. i realize he is only making less than 1mil so he might be able to be packaged in a gasol trade.
-----------------
sacre- keep his dad played in nfl and his mom was an athlete too. he has energy and enthusaism. just keep him just to wave the towel.
so bad contracts - pau, blake, duhon
trade assets - clark, jamison, ebanks, morris, meeks, sacre
------------
i expect them to trade pau and either blake or duhon....and then package some of our better contracts in there as well. jamison, clark, and meeks probally have the most value out of these.
ok now i would make a defensive team. that's me though and now we have an offensive coach.
mwp, j.hill, d12 are very solid defensive players and now can add clark and morris to that list as well.
so i would build around that. and kobe of course. we have 3 bad defenders pau, nash, and jamison and 2 of the 3 gotta go. and we know nash isn't going anywhere.
some easy fixed would be donte west, raja bell, k-mart
donte west/nash
kobe/raja bell
mwp/cdr
earl clark/k-mart/j.hill
d12/pau
i might do something like this. gay is available from grizzlies. cdr type player could work. anyone that can defend but hopefully can shoot as well. we need a backup SF to give our bench a spark. that can play defense.
or if we keep pau move him to backup C. nash and raja bell can play well together and give our bench a spark. with pau as the go to C. raja can make up for nash's bad defense. with pau and nash both on floor at same time need other 3 players to be solid defenders. and k-mart will add toughness for the softness pau has.
all those players are vet minimum players. i'm not saying that is the team i could choose but using it as an example of a defensive focused team.
build around mwp, j.hill, d12, and kobe/nash. we just need solid role players and people willing to hustle, rebound, play defense, and play hard, and give 100%. we need glue guys.
and nash and pau will be passing guru's.
i think separating our star players will help.
the other game think we had duhon, morris, earl clark, jamison, and sacre out there for at least 4-6 minutes. if we play the clippers they will go on a 15-5 run with that line-up.
our focus needs to be pounding the ball down low to pau or d12. get their bigs in foul trouble and then that will open things up for the rest of the team mates. maybe let bernie coach more games.
[QUOTE=LaLa_Land;25108089]For the sake of consistency/performance, I believe the following players should not be moved:
Nash, Kobe, MWP, Pau, Dwight, Clark, and maybe Meeks.
Everyone else should be used in an effort to acquire one somewhat significant player. With the emergence of Clark, I don't think acquiring an athlete is a must. Here are two potential scenarios that I think could encourage more immediate success.

Duhon's contract provision allowing his 3.5 mil to come off of the books would be enough to make this work IMO.
Nash - Kobe - MWP - Pau - Dwight
Douglas - Meeks - Jones - Clark - Sacre
This is kind of a stretch because of Lowry, there would have to be picks involved:

Nash - Kobe - Beasley - Pau - Dwight
Lowry - Morris - MWP - Clark - Sacre[/QUOTE
Lala, as a lakers fan i would do either of these deals in a heart beat, as a raptors rockets or suns fan probably , especially the scond onne, big fan of lowry he could learn from nash and beasley could be a spark off the bench or move pau to.bench and.have him be a stretch four

I definitely think if any of Gerald Green, Mike Beasley, Tyreke Evans, Mbah a Moute, Dorell Wright, Derrick Williams, or MarShon Brooks can be added without trading any of our core, I would really try to explore those scenarios.
I think we are one young talent away from hitting something of a stride. Meeks is completely out of the rotation, I think a Meeks, Duhon, Ebanks package for something is on the horizon (hopefully).
We need a PG to groom for the future. Other then that, this team just needs synergy.
New coach should do it.
I hope once Gasol is back from his KO he plays the bench and see how it works out.
