I mean the guy had a career year and didn't get a raise and no long term stability either. Not really what you're looking for when you enter free agency.
Its also really difficult for me to criticize a deal that is so short.
he should have known that. why he thought he would get more than last time when he had a better year and was 2 years younger absolutely baffles me

There might also be the part where....he probably wasn't going to close in New York this season.

No, the League deal still looks bad.

Vic Mackey: You better figure out how much you hate me. And how you're going to deal with that. 'Cause I'm not going anywhere.

No doubt it's an overpay but geez, I can't stop thinking about how strong their pitching staff looks...

so? that doesn't mean he should be stupid about his asking price. he had to know opting out he wasn't going to get what he asked for and probably wans't going to do better than what he opted out of at best

Decent deal for Washington. Their pitching is downright scary.
    Favourite Teams:

Boston Red Sox: 63-80, games this week vs. Orioles (3), Royals (4)
Indianapolis Colts: 0-1, Week 2 vs. Eagles
Minnesota Timberwolves: New team, hoping for good things this season.
Ottawa Senators: 37-31-14, season over, free agency begins this week.

I'm just saying the League deal was better than the Soriano deal, not necessarily that it was a great deal

Paying over 10 million a year for a relief pitcher is always not a wise investment.
