    HC: Mark Trestman
    OC/QB Coach: Jeremy Bates
    DC: Rod Marinelli
    ST: Dave Toub
    Cut:
    Devin Hester: 1.86 M
    Matt Spaeth: 2.0 M
    Kellen Davis: 2.4 M
    Matt Toeaina: .76 M
    TOTAL 7.02M Saved

We save roughly 7 million here including losing two useless TE’s which brings us up to about 21.5 mil to use after cuts and rollover, then after that, we extend Tillman out another year and take roughly 3 million from this year and transfer it over to the next year and doing the same with Brandon Marshall to save another 2.5 Mil, bringing our total to 27 Million to spend. After putting away roughly 5 Mil for draft class we have a TOTAL OF 22 MILLION for resigning and FA’s.
    Resign:
    Nick Roach 2/5.5 M
    Isreal Idonije 1/2 M
    Henry Melton 4/25 M 13 Guaranteed
    Lance Louis 3/12 M
    Kelvin Hayden 1/1 M
    Josh McCown 1/.7 M
    Jonathan Scott 2/2.5 M
    Amobi Okoye 1/.7 M
    Zach Bowman 1/1 M
    Nate Collins 2/3 M
    Armando Allen .6M
    Geno Hayes 1/1 M
    Total 14 M (8 Mil to spend)

    FA’s:
    Will Beaty OT 3/14M
    Ed Dickson TE 2/4M
    Jasper Brinkley LB 3/11M
    Louis Vasquez OG 3/10M
TOTAL 8M (Phil works his magic and gets it done!)

    2013 NFL Draft
1.) Manti T’eo LB (I think after a shakey combine and a bad outing in the BCS title game, we slips to us and we take him with open arms.) Alt: Alec Ogletree LB
2.) Barrett Jones OG/C (With him being a guard and his teammates and other solid OTs and OGs in front of him, I think Jones falls to us in the 2nd round as well.) Alt: Dallas Thomas OG/C
4.) Marcus Davis WR (The guy has speed coming out of VT, not many people think very much of him, but he has good speed and size and would be a good speed guy that we need.)
5.) Tyrann Mathieu CB ( The guy has had some issues, but his talent is undeniable. In the 5th round, and Tillman getting up there in age, this guy has great potential to be elite at the CB position.)
6.) Brandon Ford TE ( He has the late round potential to make a big difference after a year or two. Good hands and decent size, hopefully he can be a great asset at #2/#3.)
    Roster:
    QB Cutler/McCown
    RB Forte/Bush/Allen
    FB Rodriguez
    TE Dickson/Ford/Adams
    WR Marshall/Jeffery/Bennett/Davis/Anderson/Weems
    LT Beatty/Webb
    LG Vazquez/ Williams
    C Garza
    RG Jones/Brown/ (Louis when healthy)
    RT Scott/ Carimi/Brandon
    -------------------
    LCB: Jennings/ Mathieu/Bowman
    LDE: Wootton/Idonije/Ozugwe
    DT: Melton/Okoye/
    NT: Paea/ Collins/ UDFA
    RDE: Peppers/ McClellin
    WLB: Briggs/ Thomas
    MLB: T’eo/ Costanzo
    SLB: Roach/ Decicco
    SS: Wright/Walters
    FS: Conte/ Harden
    RCB: Tillman/ Hayden
    ____________
K: Gould P: Podlesh KR: Weems

Final Assessment: The combination between new coaching and a good line, pushes this offense to a new level where we can be a top 15 offense and really make things happen. I think the defense takes a bit of a step back, but still gets younger and potentially more talented.

Kellen has a cap hit that doesn't allow 2.4 mil released

    Te'o won't fall to 20

    Barrett won't fall to 50

Melton is not going to sign for 6mil per half guaranteed.

    Such a nice guy

I like your draft and I feel like it's possible but I don't think its likely. Honey badger will be picked earlier due the weak CB class. I don't see Manti slipping to 20 because of one game. I also see Jones going earlier then our 2nd round pick because his character and his versatility.

Davis has a $2.4M base salary with a $100,000 workout bonus with a $1.35M signing bonus. He is owed the signing bonus. So the Bears would save $2.5M if they cut Davis.

T'eo is a bad combine away from having Ogletree jump in front of him IMO, even if we don't end up with T'eo, Ogletree should be there, FA will change teams need a bit too.

With Barrett Jones, I see him falling near us honestly. He's a guard and the second best guard on his team at that. The combine will determine where he goes.

Everyone though Rueben Randall and Alshon Jeffery were 1st rounders and look how that worked out, not to mention AJ Jenkins being drafted so high, I understand on paper it does not seem realistic, but last year was a good lesson why this could happen.

With Melton, he has said he wants to stay here, if worst comes to worst, we tag him, but a longer deal will probably mean a better deal.
    No ideas for the moment.

Barrett Jones is arguably the best OL prospect for longevity's sake. Warmack might contribute sooner, but I think he's gointo be limited beyond fat **** mauler...which some teams are going to want.

Give me a versatile, athletic, smart OL all day any day.

Why would you assume te'o will have a bad combine. The one thing he is, is a great athlete and competitor. Good combine is wrote all over him.

Barrett can be a guard, but he's the best center in college football, that's a bit different. Also he can like up at OT so that theory not so good.

Melton is likely looking for yearly numbers over what the tag is.. So getting a better deal by year on contract is not really correct

    I guess we will see...

Everyone also thought T'eo wouldn't choke in the title game and look like he did, and also many people are saying Warnick may be the best overall lineman in the draft.

I understand your thought process but over the past few offseasons, I have seen things completely different than any of us thought.

That's why I decided to go a bit more off the wall and see what happens.

As far as Melton goes, he's had a good two seasons, but if he wants to take more money, than I see him going elsewhere, but ultimately, and my numbers may be a bit off, but I see him signing a long term deal and staying here.

Well that Melton contract makes a big difference. If he signs for more it throws off your FA, so what hole do we remain with?

If we don't resign him then how do we fill that void?

If he signs bigger, for me, there might be some serious thought into cutting Peppers IMO and if not you go out and get a mid level FA or draft a DT earlier or even tag him.

We can also use part of next years cap (3/5 Mil) for this year if I'm not mistaken too.
    No ideas for the moment.
