6 Game & 9 Game Cub Packs on Sale Jan. 23!

Just saw this on Google News, the Cubs are eliminating fees for 2013 for their upcoming 6 game and 9 game Cub Packs sale. The interesting thing is their link to the 6 game pack, shows a Washington Nationals game for Apr. 5th! There is no home game til Opening Day, April 8th! It looks like the 9 game links are correct.

The good thing about looking at these packs online is that it gives you a hint as to what the upcoming promo dates are. Among the promos this year they are going to have trading card days, where you can build up a set over 4 or five games, a Cubs cowboy hat, Kyuji Fujikawa bobblehead, Darwin Barney Gold Glove replica trophy, silicone scoreboard slap watch, retired # flag, and Cubs tin lunchbox.

Here is the press release regarding the 6 and 9 game packs, your thoughts?

Whoever posted this on cubs.com needs to be fired.

I think those games are from the 2012 season. We certainly don't open the season on the 5th and we don't play the Red Sox anytime this year.
None of those games shown are accurate.

Also, if ANYONE buys these packages, they are throwing money away. The fact they're not charging any service fees should be a hint that they are desperate.

If last years stubhub prices proved anything to me for this upcoming season, it is not to waste money on full price tickets.

Cubs updated the games and the giveaways.

The 9 game pack would have been gold 5 years ago.

Certainly not terrible since you aren't getting charged any convenience fees.

I still wouldn't do it, but you can probably get some decent seats when they first go on sale
