should the bulls be considered favorites in the east?

the heat team is looking much weaker than last year. everybody knows knicks are a fluke and bulls with rose would stomp them in the playoffs.

bulls just displayed their incredible defense tonight against the hawks, holding them to 20 in the first half. they are playing great and dont even have rose back yet. should the bulls be considered favorites in the east right now?

    No.

But if Rose comes back and gets back to top 10 player form, then it gets really interesting.

    Pretty much this.

I'm not buying Miami's struggles just yet; they've coasted in the regular season before.

Nobody gets to the line like the Heat in the playoffs.

Heat are not as good as last two years. Bosh is softer than cottonelle tissue, Wade is declining rapidly, their defense is average, and role players are not very good.

wouldnt say favorites. favorites are usually the defending champs. but definitely contenders.

Just realized he didn't mean 1 seed in the conference... It is a no brainer that the Heat are the favorites.. The Bulls are probably going to be their top challenge though and of course the Knicks are there as well (for now anyway)

Edit: I still feel the Celtics are just as legit as they were last year so count them in the top of contenders as well...

The east is still pretty open imo. Miami/NY/Boston/NJ/Chicago/Indy when all healthy can all beat each other. Miami is the favorite but I don't think they will cruise through the east like they did last year

No way. Heat are favorites until they are beaten in the playoffs. Bulls bench needs to get better too. But how about this. Carlos Boozer leads the Eastern Conference with 20 double doubles. He is having a really good year so far.

Do you really think Miami is weaker? Really? Lol. Boozer and Rose too much for LeBron. Never forget LeBron shut DRose down. Secondly, the Heat care 0% about the season. They sleep wall through and win 55-60 games and then will win another title.
