Am I the only one rather see Tony Gonzalez go out on top rather than Ray Lewis?

Every year when the playoffs comes, there's always a storyline involved for each team, that makes people gravitate towards them more.

This year the big one is Ray Lewis. It seems everybody is rooting for the Ravens, because they want to see Ray go out on top and end his career with a ring.

Lost in all this however, is that he's not the only future HOF'er who is going to retire at the end of the year. Atlanta's TE Tony Gonzalez is also retiring at the season's end.

Gonzo is hands down the greatest Tight End of all time. He deserves to add a ring to his legendary career. And while I love Ray Lewis as a player and have the utmost respect for him, he already has a ring. Tony has never even sniffed a championship. This is the closest he's been and the closest he ever will be to getting a title. So with all due respect to Ray, I'm rooting for the GOAT TE to ride off into the sunset with a ring around his finger.

Does anybody else feel the same way?

I understand where you're coming from personally and can agree that Gonzalez may be more deserving. But the Falcons won't make it that far.

I hate the Falcons and I'm beyond ready for Gonzalez to retire and get the hell out of my division. As much as I've loved him as a player, I can't wait to see him retire ringless, just like the Falcons will continue to be.

Tony has to play one more year. He isn't showing any signs of slowing down. He said 95% so I see him coming back once more.

^^ID10t. Falcons WILL get Tony a ring, and regardless of whether or not Tony leaves the division or not, Atlanta will be competing at a high level for a long, long time to come.

Besides certain pornographic "studs," I don't live vicariously through others, so I really don't care which player wins the big one before their career is done.

He said it's 95% chance he's done. And he's said this all year.

He's basically made up his mind that he's done

Tony G. is by far the douchiest athlete I have met. Being from the KC area, I have met him on several occasions. **** Tony.

Buuuuuuuttttt, he never killed anyone, so yes, he's got my vote.
To some, he was just a boy. A boy who played football, a football player that grew to be a man. A man that took over a city, a city that he made his own, a city that stands behind him in hopes of becoming one of that cities all-time greats. To some, 2013 was a fluke. To some, he can't do it again. To some, he got lucky.

To us though, to the Philly faithful, that QB is Nick Foles. To us, that's our QB.

Certainly no fan of the Falcons, but I've got to agree with King P: Get Gonzalez a ring. Dude's one of the good guys in the league.

I can't stand Ray Lewis. Jesus this, God this.

You very possibly murdered two men and got away with it. At the very least, you were present when two men were murdered.
