East-West shrine game

While the Senior Bowl gets the most attention of all the postseason All-Star games, the East-West Shrine Game is a worthy showcase for some of college football's best prospects.

The crop of running backs at this year's game is as impressive as any in recent memory. Texas A&M's Christine Michael and Utah State's Kerwynn Williams will carry the load for the West side, while Ray Graham and Zac Stacy highlight the East backfield.

Plenty of other talented prospects will take the field at all positions. Here is all of the information you need to know for the 2013 East-West Shrine Game.

William Campbell - DL - Wolverines

Michigan DT William Campbell has reportedly been "dominant at times" during East-West Shrine practices, controlling the line of scrimmage.

Campbell weighed in at a hulking 6-foot-5 and 318 pounds this week, and SI's Tony Pauline hints he's likely headed for a 3-4 scheme as a "gap occupier" rather than collapser of the pocket or playmaker. Campbell started 11-of-13 games for the Wolverines in 2012, amassing 44 tackles, but just 1.5 for a loss and a single sack. He's a late-round five-technique or nose prospect.

Keith Pough - LB - Bison

Howard LB Keith Pough measured 6-foot-1 3/4 and 241 pounds at this week's East-West Shrine all-star event.

Pough was listed at a lankier 6-foot-3, 225 by Howard University. A favorite of Rotoworld's Josh Norris, Pough is built like an NFL middle linebacker and also has an impressive 79-inch wingspan, which will help for pass coverage purposes. Through two East-West Shrine practices, Pough has been a standout on the field.

Marcus Davis - WR - Hokies

Virginia Tech WR Marcus Davis measured 6-foot-3 1/8 and 230 pounds during this week's East-West Shrine weigh-in.

CBS Sports' Dane Brugler has likened Davis' receiving upside to Dez Bryant's, and he certainly is built like the Dallas Cowboys' star getting off the bus. Davis has huge hands (10 1/8") and arms that would be suitably long for an NFL left tackle (33 3/4"). We sure wish he were a better football player.

Rodney Smith - WR - Seminoles

CBS Sports' Dane Brugler does not believe Florida State WR Rodney Smith is playing up to his size through two days of practice at the East-West Shrine Game.

Brugler adds that "it is obvious why many scouts think so highly of" Smith, due to his combination of size and athleticism. However, Brugler wishes Smith would win in contested situations more frequently and go beyond just catching vertical passes he tracked downfield.

Earl Wolff - DB - Wolfpack

North Carolina State S Earl Wolff has generated "a lot of praise" from coaches at the East-West Shrine Game so far in practices.

It's early in the week, but first impressions can go a long way. Wolff, listed at 6-foot, 207, was described as "the heart of the defense" by NC State coach Tom O'Brien and has obvious leadership skills. ACC coaches also selected Wolff as a first-team all-conference pick in 2012 after he led the Wolfpack in tackles.

The Guy I like is Zeke Motta. SS out of ND. A ton of safeties coming out this year, but he is my fav.
I'm going to be watching the WR's, LB's, DT's and Guards. The CB's might be fun to watch as well. I'm looking forward to this game. Not as much talent no doubt. But will be interesting.

Micah Hyde wearing No. 18 for the West squad on Saturday is the only real one I care much about. I want to see how he does because I want the Vikings to draft him in round 3 or 4.
