I'm not sure who would be better between him and Mike Martz but they are definitely an upgrade from Gregg Knapp!

Who knows maybe he can bring in some value players from the CFL. We have a ton of roster spots to fill this offseason to meet minimums

Was gannons OC....went to superbowl...Coached a QB to a MVP....heres a snippet from wikipedia...id say hes proven:

In 1998 he was with the Arizona Cardinals as quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator. That year quarterback Jake Plummer threw for 3,737 yards, and the Cardinals made the playoffs for the first time since 1982 and won their first post season game in 51 years.
He next went to the Oakland Raiders in 2001 as the quarterbacks coach. In 2002 he was promoted to offensive coordinator and the Raiders led the NFL in total offense with 389.8 yards per game and passing yards with 279.7 per game. Under Trestman's guidance, Raiders QB Rich Gannon won the 2002 NFL MVP award as the Raiders reached Super Bowl XXXVII, losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

I agree, Trestman would be a mistake, there is a reason why he is not with any NFL team right now,he sucks.

Don't like that interview at all.

Honestly? I am feeling really sick to my stomach about who they are considering.
These are not indications of a group of ppl who know what the **** they're doing.
This is not a "home run" hire. Why are we grousing around at the bottom of the freakin' barrel?!?

The guy has got like 2 or 3 interviews for open HC jobs in the nfl this year. I don't know much about him but there must me something about him if other teams are looking to hire him for their HC spot.

I laugh at everybody talking about the Raiders not knowing what they are doing with these interviews. Who the **** are you guys? You can have an opinion on the guy but don't act like you know better than every team executive out there who's jobs are to scout and hire coaches and players.

"If the Raiders hire this guy i'm out because it proves they don't know what they're doing" .....Well, PEACE then!
