Good for him, but I don't like risking our players health/longevity for the WBC.

Really!! I like Vogy but seriously. Dickey won't be exposed too much. Andy is old. I was hoping for Kershaw (No, really I was), Price, Verlander, and some of those other good pitchers. They should place a rule that says you can't have any SP/RP that have been in the playoffs.

WBC News: Ryan Vogelsong will pitch for Team USA

Don't like this at all since the Giants are coming off a long grueling season

I think everyone agrees this is a negative for all our players participating. Seasons long enough especially after winning a world series.

Well it won't be fun in July/August when Vogey's arm falls off because of fatigue and exhaustion.

It is kind of a negative, but this will probably just take the place of Vogelsongs spring training so I doubt it'll impact him too much. I don't think it's a big deal.

For a guy like Vogelsong too this will be his only chance to ever participate in something like this probably. I'm glad he's doing it as he knows better than anyone how quick your career slip away from you. He might as well enjoy every second of his resurgence as it'll all be gone soon.

we couldn't get anyone better? god damn it Clayton, thanks for dropping the ball, Kobe plays for team USA! I am annoyed at these stars that don't play for team USA, i want Tulo at SS Pedroia at 2nd, Fielder at 1st Posey at Catcher and Trout in the OF, but no were going to be playing back ups (with the exception of wright/stanton/braun)

Not liking this for our pitchers, don't mind seeing Pablo playing though. It'll do him some good.

It will help keep him in shape going into opening day.
