Sign the beard.
Michael Baron @michaelgbaron
Sandy: Still looking at relievers, especially for someone in the back-end. "Definitely a possibility" they can upgrade the pen.
Get him signed.
And "ultimately," Alderson said, "we're judged on whether we win or lose."

Looking for some believers on "the back end" ie looking for guys better than all the ones we got
meet the mets
beat the mets
head to the park, defeat the mets
endless summer wasting away
hammered drunk before the end of the day
Mr. Met's suicide attempts
He's not the beard if he's tossing the ball like Chris Young.
He's a perfect candidate for HGH use this year.

I hope so.Mets GM Sandy Alderson sounds more optimistic about adding a reliever than acquiring an outfielder, Dan Martin of the New York Post writes. The Mets are hesitant to hand Frank Francisco the closer job again and have expressed interest in Brian Wilson and others.
i can't stand FF..

We need to sign this guy. Just get it done SA
Fellas, did I miss something?
Last report I saw on Wilson mentioned his arm wasn't really anywhere near ready and his velocity was down.
I don't know what has changed but that doesn't sound appealing to me.
Well even if Wilson isn't an option, there are a host of other FA relievers out there.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Mets thought about bringing Wilson in at some point during the season as he recovers further from TJ surgery and is still unsigned.
Get it done, we've nothing to lose.
And "ultimately," Alderson said, "we're judged on whether we win or lose."

Still a host of FA relievers left even if they don't go the Wilson route.
Sign one of the three closers. I mean, Valverde was considered to have a "bad" year last season, and was miles better than Fat Frank. I would prefer Wilson, simply cause of the buzz he would generate. I really don't want Capps all that much
I think if Wilson isn't signed we should go after chad durbin and joey devine. those two two quality relievers.
