He'll be signed before ST, so count the Mets out.

If he's really got ways to go, then they won't sign him - and I wouldn't blame them.

A roster spot is a roster spot, and money is still money. I'd rather that money go to a young pitcher that's healthy and vying for a spot in the pen than a guy who may not physically be able to perform (if that's truly the case).

But if he's close to being ready, he's worth a small major league deal with production incentives.

    >>>Yeah, I bet they haven't.

Clearly Frank Francisco was the one trying to close the door.

Frank Francisco can't even close a door!

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Just thought I'd try and contribute a bit with this article I found on cbs. I heard Wilson's velocity still is not there - is this normal for his recovery date or whatever? I would not mind this at all if it was for a minor league deal for around 3M. Thoughts?

Well the reason Wilson won't take a minor league deal is because none of the money is guaranteed unless he makes the roster.

That's why he wants a guaranteed major league deal that has a base salary and will be incentive laden.

Wilson had the second Tommy John surgery of his career last April and was non-tendered by the Giants following the season. Sabean is still open to bringing him back on a one-year, incentive-laden contract, but he expects that the bearded reliever will be “more in the mindset to do that with somebody else, than coming back with us.”

Sandy Alderson told @JimBowdenESPNxm that #Mets intend to watch Brian Wilson again soon.

Sandy: Still looking at relievers, especially for someone in the back-end. "Definitely a possibility" they can upgrade the pen. #Mets
