BREAKING NEWS: Brooklyn Nets have signed forward Damion James to a 10-day contract

The Brooklyn Nets have signed forward Damion James to a 10-day contract, GM Billy King announced today.
What do we make of this? I hope this is just because crash is out and we need some lock down defense when Bogans isn't playing

Yup, it may also be a sign that Wallace is out for a few more games and not just day-to-day after the Pacers game. He was a very good rebounder at the 3 position for us but couldn't shoot. We don't need that from him anymore anyway so decent move for the short-term. If he can learn to cut to the basket like Wallace (effectively), then he could fill up our last spot.
    I survived Stephon Marbury's inability
Jason Kidd, Kenyon Martin, Richard Jefferson era
    I survived 12-70
    Mikhail Prokhorov buys the Nets
I survived not getting the #1 pick
    I survived Melodrama
    Deron Williams traded here
I survived 248 games missed due to injury, 5 d-league call-ups, 14 different lineups in ONE season
I survived Johan Petro and Travis Outlaw
    I survived Dwightmare
    Deron/Joe/Wallace/Hump/Lopez

I agree. I don't see this as more than a 10-day contract plain and simple.

^ ^ Me too dude. I remember Avery used to start him when we didn't have Wallace and it was just face palm worthy

Honestly the rare rare days when he was healthy he was good for us. I LOVE this signing if he can stay healthy. He is so much better than Stackhouse/Bogans if he can be healthy.

His rebounding and defense were always top notch for his position. His biggest concern was health and the jumper. Ridiculously athletic.

If he's anything like he was before we cut him then he should never see a minute. I'd rather let Marshon get more minutes and have Johnson at SF. I'd rather Toko get minutes over James.

Good move. Familiar with the organization and good depth are the F position while crash is out.

I wouldn't mind toko playing over him but I think this is just a precautionary move.

Nets traded 2 picks for him

Damian James...costing nothing,,,needs NBA development,,,he has not been
in the NBA long enough to show what he could do,,,he was a very good
college player, a go to guy,,,,and he had a jumper in college.
I love for Nets to keep him if he is healthy.
Retire Jason Kidd,,Kurt Thomas and Rasheed,,now
