The popular trend to vilify Manning is so funny. All of you are so much more knowledgeable than people who actually count when it comes to judging players.
GJO- You will never be forgotten. "MORE THAN MINFINITY"!
This season: Rodgers>Brady>Manning, and here's my reasoning.
Rodgers had a TD/INT passing differential of +31 (plus 2 rushing TDs), 4300 passing yards (plus 260 rushing yards), and a passer rating of 108, while completing 67.2% of his passes. He has without a doubt the worst OL of the three (got sacked more than anyone else in the league) AND the worst running offense of the three. He's dealt with injuries to his top 3 receivers. The Packers had one of the toughest schedules in the league (27th easiest) schedule.
Brady had a TD/INT differential ratio of +26 (plus 4 rushing TDs), 4800 passing yards, and a passer rating of 99, while completing 63% of his passes. Brady has probably the best OL of the three. He was without his best receiver (Gronk) for most of the season, and was missing Hernandez for a portion of the season. He had an above average difficulty schedule (19th easiest).
Manning had a TD/INT passing differential of +25, 4650 passing yards, and a passer rating of 105.8, while completing 68.6% of his passes. Manning's OL isn't as good as Brady's, but still one of the better OLs. More importantly, Manning had an absolute garbage schedule, 1st in ease if difficulty.
Now, if difficulty of opponents isn't good enough, total TD/INT numbers aren't good enough (including rushing TDs, Rodgers has +33, Brady +30, and Peyton still +25), passer rating isn't good enough, and comparisons of the offenses they had to work with aren't good enough, then clearly nothing is going to be enough to satisfy you and you need to be surgically detached from Peyton Manning's jock.
Rodgers is already going to be screwed out of MVP in favor of Manning, and now he can't even have the top QB nod? Why don't we give PM DPotY while we're at it.

to say that the NFL doesnt have a love affair with Manning would be naive.
"If I had to pick a center [for an all-time best team], I would take Olajuwon. That leaves out Shaq, Patrick Ewing. It leaves out Wilt Chamberlain. It leaves out a lot of people. And the reason I would take Olajuwon is very simple: he is so versatile. It's not just his scoring, not just his rebounding or not just his blocked shots. He was in the top seven in steals. He always made great decisions on the court. For all facets of the game, I have to give it to him." -Michael Jordan
