can we stop with the kenyon martin wanting? we are getting sheed back and between Tyson, Amare, Melo, Kurt, Sheed, Novak and Cope who can all play the frontcourt positions we don't need another old extremely injury prone nightmare of a personality on this team. at some point you have to look at woody and praise him for managing so many ridiculous ego's on this team. in denver, kenyon martin and JR clashed a lot. k-mart and GK clashed a lot, K-Mart and the refs clashed a lot, K-mart and health clashed a lot. He was a good defender but he is a POS person. he's barely played in the nba in 2 seasons, and really hardly played the few years before that because of injuries. do not sign him.

Disagree. Kenyon's defesnse can be used in certain spots. I dont think a guy who hasnt found his way on a nba team will completely ruin chemistry especially with Woodson who you said yourself has managed egos and plenty of other vets

New York Knicks center Marcus Camby will miss two-to-four weeks after an MRI revealed plantar fasciitis in his left foot.

Camby's foot has been giving him problems since the preseason, and he has played just 14 games all year. He re-aggravated the injury in the Knicks' 81-76 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night.

With Camby now out, Rasheed Wallace on the shelf due to a stress fracture in his right foot and Amare Stoudemire on a minutes limit, New York finds themselves very thin in the frontcourt. This issue could force the Knicks to look for another big man, and free agent forward Kenyon Martin is reportedly on their radar.

In order to sign Martin, the Knicks would have to release somebody else. The most likely candidate is guard James White, who actually started in the 108-101 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Friday night. Kurt Thomas is also a candidate to be released, but it would not make much sense to let him go considering the problem at hand.

Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski first reported that the Knicks and Martin have discussed a possible 10-day contract, but head coach Mike Woodson has denied any interest.
