Top Free Agents still on the market

    1. Michael Bourn | CF.

Best fits: Braves, Phillies, Rangers, Giants
ESPN Prediction: Atlanta is where Bourn will likely land, but he sure won’t get the fair market value that Upton received.

    2. Rafael Soriano | CL.

Best fits: Tigers, Blue Jays, Dodgers, Reds, Nationals
ESPN Prediction: Blue Jays or Nationals.

    3. Kyle Lohse | SP.

    Best fits: Orioles, Royals, Angels
ESPN Prediction: Don’t be surprised if the Rangers take a one-year flier on him.

    4. Mike Napoli | 1B/DH/C

The Boston Red Sox thought they had made a splash at this year’s winter meetings when they reached a tentative agreement with Napoli on a three-year, $39 million contract, pending a physical. However, when the physical showed a significant health risk/injury to his hip, the deal was never finalized.

Best fits: Red Sox, Orioles, Indians
ESPN Prediction: I think this deal still gets done with the Red Sox.

    5. Delmon Young | LF/DH

Best fits: Rays, Phillies, Padres, Astros, Indians
    ESPN Prediction: Astros

Rafael Soriano wont be going to the Blue Jays...not for the amount of money he wants. He was the richest setup guy in the MLB with the Yankees, and he wants to get paid like that and then some to be a closer elsewhere, no thanks. Maybe the Nationals or the Reds will take him, but not the Blue Jays.

I know the Blue Jays have been spending like crazy, but they arent going to spend 15 million a year on a closer when they already have 2 closers on the team.

Bourn is not coming back to Atlanta, lol.

Delmon Young isn't the 5th best player on this market.

That would be RHP Shaun Marcum

    Agreed.

The Jays have already met the limits of expanding their payroll. Unless Soriano is willing to take a DRASTIC pay cut, no way he dons a Jays jersey.

I would have to agree with you.

But the top 3 are certainly right.

Soriano and Lohse should've taken their qualifying offers

    It's not even February.

What day did Prince sign last year?

Jan. 26th, and there were no rumors as of the 11th about him.

They will probably make significantly less than the QO. If they took their $13M even on one year deals there's a good chance they make more in the long run. Maybe not Lohse because there's a decent chance he implodes wherever he ends up.
