Yeah, AFI is the same level of fertilizer as Goo Goo, etc. et al, ad nauseum. I cannot for the
life of me see how anyone could take them seriously. There's just no accounting
    for poor taste, I guess.

Agreed..some will argue and say it was late 60's and 70's but I disagree...The 90's were freaking stacked with amazing bands...I wish rock and roll would make a comeback and get to the levels it was in the 90's...but I don't see it happening anytime soon

Also, had a huge crush on Fionna Apple when she was singing "Criminal" in her underwear. She was hot in a weird, sick way.

they're pretty money. This thread got me remember some older albums i used to have, so I torrented a few albums, not really rock but close enought. lets see,
    bush - sixteen stone,
    green day - dookie,
    offspring - smash,
    nirvana - in utero
    hole - live through this
white zombie - astro creep, la sexorcisto
"i don't believe in mysteries but still i pray for my sister, when speaking to the higher power that listens, to the lifeless vision of freedom everytime we're imprisoned, to the righteous victims of people of a higher position" - planet asia, old timer thoughts

"God is Universal he is the Ruler Universal" - gangstarr (rip guru), robbin hood theory

"don't gain the world and lose your soul, wisdom is better than silver and gold" - bob marley, zion train

You hit the nail on the head. My first crush might have been the girl that does the bed splits in Billy Idol's "rock the cradle of love" video though

Let's extend this to the early 2000's and add the best of them all....Incubus.

Were talking about Weird Al, the Pumpkins, Fionna Apple crawling around 1/2 naked signing about being a "bad bad girl", and Billy Idol- all these things are infinitely cooler then Incubus

Just me, but I'd take Linkin Park over Incubus, and I don't even really like Linkin Park.

old Incubus was not bad. I forgot about Primus, nice shout up up there. Best bassist I have seen live ever.

Yeah, their "old stuff" wasn't bad, but once the new Incubus came pouring out.

    I was over them quickly.

haha, agreed dude. They have sucked for a long time. Embarrassingly enough, I was a U2 fan when I was younger, but everything starting with Zooropa and beyond made me not even like the stuff I actually liked before. Same with Aerosmith, sans a few songs.
