    TSN power rankings

    http://www.tsn.ca/fantasy_news/rankings/nhl/

Leafs with a top 5 pick? I hope so. I'd have LA a little higher but as mentioned, Kopitars injured. I have the Rangers as cup favorites as well. Not sure If the Oilers will jump up that much, they seem content on crummy defense even with Schultz. Also not sure the Coyotes will be that bad. Kind of hard to predict on such a short schedule.

IMO I think the Wild and Canes should be ahead of MTL and EDM. I'd move OTT down a couple spots and I'd move DET down to 11th pushing SJ and the next 4 teams up a spot

The powerful east it seems, top 3 teams.

There's a big drop between them and the Blues imo

I agree with the top 3 and bottom 3 but from there on it's seems like they were throwing darts.

Kings and Wild should definitely be a little higher. I could see Edmonton starting the season hot, to then struggle towards the end but end up sneaking into the playoffs because they played well enough to start the season.

They have St. Louis ahead of LA,
April 28 Los Angeles Kings 3–1 St. Louis Blues
April 30 Los Angeles Kings 5–2 St. Louis Blues
May 3 St. Louis Blues 2–4 Los Angeles Kings
May 6 St. Louis Blues 1–3 Los Angeles Kings

Problem with LA is their best player will be out to start the season. That has to be a factor, winning the cup or not.

I don't see why the Wild should be higher, just because they added the two biggest names in free agency this year doesn't prove that they are a contender. The team hasn't even proven it can win with the new additions, nor has it gotten the chance too. They are fine where they are

Pens at 1? Rangers fans will not be happy about that.

TSN puts us 29th because of a bad blue line because Visnovsky wont report? Um we didnt have him last year? We lost nothign but utter garbage on the blueline. And we do have depth, its called NHL ready prospects currently excelling in the AHL. Damnit TSN, things have to change some time!

Edmonton needs a lot of things to fall their way, but I can definitely see a good season pending injuries. The short season should help the young guys not hit a wall, and Whitney/Hemsky maybe wont be injured. Dubnyk is an underrated goalie too

I cant wait for when the Leafs start 4-0 (like they have the last 2 years) and everyone starts planning the parade on here.

The Wild just added a top line forward and dman, it's hard not to see them getting better. They also have some good prospects, Granlund should make the team I would think. They aren't a powerhouse, but they are good enough to do some damage.

Like Hallady said a top 5/10 d man and one of the better wingers in the game + granlund and a healthy Koivu and backstrom should get them into the playoffs this year so I think they should br a little higher

Top 5/10 Dman? Just slow down a minute. Let's see him play a game without Weber before we make such a bold statement. But I agree, the Wild will be a good team this year. They were the top team last year until they got hammered with injuries.
