    Vic Ballard

Anyone here think he could be our future, every down kind of back? I really liked what I saw from him once DB went down. Love that he is an in between the tackles guy, but has surprising speed on the outside as well.

I'm curious what the plan is going to be, if Brown will be apart of the future, or if they will hand Ballard the keys and Brown be a change of pace back. If we are going to draft another RB or sign one.

IMO Ballard can be our bell cow back, I heard people say they reminded them of Edge before and during camp and it looks like they were pretty spot on...we just need to bring in a speedy home run hitter to spell him and then maybe get a goal line bruiser or maybe a real full back just in case.

I wouldn't mind Eddie Lacy in the thrid round if was there. I like Ballard and his running style but I still think we need a bigger back that can punish the other team.

Rainey from the Steelers was cut, he has that kind of speed. Wonder if the Colts would be interested.

    Vic Ballard

I've said quite often that Ballard will be an everydown back. His pass blocking/receiving could improve but he did improve thruout the year.
So Anna, what do you think about the notion that Russell Wilson is better than Andrew Luck?

a good o-line would've helped him out too, Luck isnt the only one to suffer from that mess. Like luck, Ballard did good with what he had to work with. I'd kinda like to see how he fares w/ a good line for a full season w/ a really good backup.

For me I really really really want Stephan Taylor from Stanford, every down back plus played with Luck, it would be so awesome if we could grab him

I really like Ballard. I hope we get rid of brown and pick up somebody else but it doesn't matter who our RB is if we don't fix our horrible o-line.

Kinda funny that as a starting QB you don't really get anything but a slap on the wrist for being accused of sexual assault twice, driving wreclkess on a motorcycle etc...but you get in an altercation with your girlfriend and they don't even let the facts come out before sending you home. Not saying it is a good thing to fight with your girlfriend just more saying at how easily expendable you are by position and not what you did...not to mention that now they are reporting that no assault took place and the girlfriend is trying to get FL to drop the charges.

I have liked what I have seen from Ballard and believe he can become even better with an improved OLine and should be able to address the blocking issues this off season?
If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

I like him...really came on at the end of the year. I'd be fine if he was our starter for next year

He's definitely good enough to be the every down back, that's for sure.

I'm alright with him being our starting RB next year but I really would like to see us make a run at Brandon Jacobs. I really would love to see what this team could do with an overpowering type of RB.

i wouldnt mind bringing in a shonn greene or someone like that, but i would hate to see jacobs in a colts uni, hes big but runs straight up and was only successful with the elite offensive line in football at the time. As well as on the wrong side of 30, we can find a younger, fresher solution to move the chains on short yardage or the goalline. i can just see jacobs getting clobbered on short yardage with his running style/ our offensive line.
