This...and the stalking arrest in college...not looking good for this guy's future behavior.

And we've cut him. Probably should update the title.

What a loser. I thought he had a future with this team.

    Steelers waived RB/KR Chris Rainey.

That was fast. The Steelers apparently had a no-tolerance policy for the former Florida star who was red-flagged as a character risk by several teams last offseason. Rainey was arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly pulling a woman out of a car and slapping her across the face. The team confirmed that the move came as a direct result of the arrest. Although 2012 fifth-rounder looked explosive on returns in preseason action, he was a non-factor in the regular season, averaging just 3.9 yards per on 26 carries and 4.3 yards per on 14 receptions. Similar to Dexter McCluster, Rainey simply lacks the size and power to force missed tackles at the NFL level.

He really couldn't do anything aside from return kicks and I felt like he was about to get broken in half each time. That's not to say he can't be semi-successful in another offense, but the way we were using him it was a waste.

So about not drafting a running back early... I change my mind. Just as depth since literally the only ones on our roster will be Dwyer and Redman.

Unless these events are Mendenhall's ticket for another year here.

Maybe they ought to release Pouncey as well. I mean he was the one who shouted from the roof that Rainey was a good person. And a changed man. It was mostly because of Pouncey that the Steelers drafted him. So maybe we should give Pouncey his walking papers as well.

When I opened the Steelers forum and saw that A_Bynum was the last person to post in this thread, I literally could not wait for the page to load to see what gold he managed to poop out this time. You, my friend, did not disappoint! Cut Pouncey for supporting a friend. Classic!

In all seriousness though, this is really such a waste. Decent KR/RB/WR, but how stupid can he be? So many of these guys have it made in life, all they have to do is behave, work hard, and rake in millions of dollars a year, and they still manage to do stupid **** like this.

Okay being serious for a moment...I was of course kidding about Pouncey. Even though he did express that Rainey was a good guy. But for now, about the alledged charges...I think this is very minor. The story insisted that the woman took Rainey's Cell phone, got out of the car and was running to get into another car....and take his phone. Chris ran after her, opened the door to get HIS phone back. So who's to say he didn't slap her in a struggle ? And, why wasn't she arrested for theft ? I mean everyone agrees that she DID take his Cell Phone. So why is it he only gets charged ?

Like I said fans, this seems so petty. And in THIS particular case, I feel the Steelers way overreacted. I mean if this is Cut worthy...then why is Harrison still on this team ? He didn't slap, he PUNCHED the Mother of his child IN the childs presence.....and Harrison pled Guilty for it. As where Rainey hasn't even had his own say. Or his day in court. Sorry fans but this seems like a Double standard to me. I am NOT for hitting women lets make that very clear. But in some cases....like this one. Where Chris's Girlfriend stole HIS property...I say the chick got what was coming to her.
