    Greg Oden

    It's been talked about before.

Personally, I would really like to take a chance on the guy. I don't see how we can sign guys playing in China (Anderson), overpay guys who lack any potential impact on a significant level (Kleiza, every other FA we've signed in past 10 years) and not take a risk on a guy that could potentially regain some of the form that had him labeled as the next great C in the NBA.

He has been a walking injury but as a lot of us read in his story on ESPN last season, a lot of it had to do with the Blazers training staff and anyone who's played competitively and come back too soon from an injury can relate to his story. He has been rehabbing and training his body for the past 2 years now and I see no reason why we wouldn't take a shot in the dark with him with where our franchise currently is.

I'd take a chance on him for a minimal salary. However, given the fact he's so injury prone, hasn't played much at the NBA level, I wouldn't count on him as a stabilizing influence at the 5-spot which is something we're lacking right now.

Didn't he want to go to the Heat? Anyways of course I'd take a risk. There's no way he can be worse than Gray.

Even if he returns it wont be with the Raps since he'll come so cheap and almost every team would take a gamble at minimum pay and have him come off the bench

I've been on board with this for a while. It should happen before next year IMO. You don't have to give him a roster spot, but if he started to work with Alex M now... Oden would have respect for our franchise and we would have a good feel for Oden's healthy and abilities going forward. We would know in the summertime if he's worth a roster spot.

    These.

One of his legs is 1inch longer than the other, he's predisposed to have knee problems because of this. There is no point, just a waste of money.

If the Heat didn't take him then I don't think we should go after him.

He's rehabbing right now though... I see a difference in past present and future.

He's been rehabbing for the past 3 years... The man just really isnt designed for the NBA game. Plus we have Jonas who needs development. There really is no point.

I'd take him. He's not going to hurt us much more than Gray.

    This...

Though Gray isn't that bad (for a big body scrub... LOL)

and Bosh to the Heat to join Wade. That would've been awesome... I would've respected LeBron way more if he went there.
Why have great rivals when you can join them and have none.... Lebron James where losing the spirit of competition happens!

Yeah, I'll take him over Gray. obviously, management could determine if his health is up to par and then for a minimum contract it's a low risk high reward scenario.
