Quinoa cakes - 9/10
Wife made them and they're pretty damn fantastic. I made a mayo sauce thing to dip them in (veganaise, chili powder, turmeric, dill, Sriracha).

For dinner, I had my special grilled pork belly, bitter melon salad, and of course garlic fried rice.
Got to give it a 10/10.
I've done it so many times that I have it perfected. Hehe.
My dipping sauce was basically a soy sauce and white vinegar mixture. It was boiled and I added thai chillies, diced red onion, and to spice thing up sriracha. Served on banana leaf. So goooood.
tuna lemon roll, shrimp tempura roll and chicken pad thai from our favorite sushi place (sushi-thai on the beach)
9/10
always fresh and flavorful, and very fairly priced for a sushi joint
JETSMETSKNICKSPENS
GATOR BAIT!
Spicy Check instant Ramen. 3/10. Fills me up.

****ing good/10
we had friends visiting (in ****ing jupiter, which is about an hour and 15 mins norfffff of the ft. lauderdale area... and completely apart from any of the worthwhile culinary scenes in SoFla), so we drove up to meet them for dinner last night. they suggested coolinary cafe, which is supposedly well-respected in the area (again, NOT a town known for its eateries...). we ordered a bunch of apps and desserts for the table (6 people at dinner), but our own entrees.
i'll rate each dish individually, then the entire meal...
apps:
-crispy fried florida shrimp with garlic aioli - 6/10 - too much batter, not enough scrrrrrrriiimppppssss
-crispy flatbread - 6.5/10 - the only really good part was the burnt edges and the crispy sopressata
-housemade sausages (last night's sausage was chicken) - 7/10 - not enough spice in the sausage patties, but the grilled bread was good and the giardiniera was incredible
entree:
-i had the braised prok shoulder with coconut curry - 9/10 - this was, hands down, the best thing i had all night and the only thing that was truly awe-inspiring. the pork was melt in your mouth tender, and the curry was surprisingly authentic for some place just norfff of palm beach.
desserts:
-maple bacon bread pudding - 7/10 - sounded great on paper, but failed to deliver as expected. the saltiness of the bacon and the sweetness of the maple and bread pudding were a nice combo, but the pudding was too dense and not moist enough.
-milk and cookie - meh/10
-some coffee trifle type thingy - 7/10
for a meal that cost me about $90 (including drinks) for me and lolo, it was not worth it. if this place had cost about $60 total, i'd probably consider going back.
appetizer:
JETSMETSKNICKSPENS
GATOR BAIT!
Tacos and bean dip.
9/10.
