What kind of analyst admits this, let alone a former Laker? Embarrassing.

Ok...
People actually thought Magic could be a good analyst? I'd rather Skip Bayless
Atlanta Braves-Seattle Seahawks-New Orleans Pelicans-Anaheim Ducks!
SSSHHHAAAKKKKYYYY!!!!
He giving them tough love... He wants to see them succeed and had high hopes coming into the season

i think its his nice way of saying they're "nobodies"
He's a "face" to an organization (lakers and dodgers), nothing more. Dont expect him to be a john hollinger with advanced stats or to be able to name every player on every roster. He's just a rich dude who played as an nba pointguard for the lakers (a great pg at that) that invested his money wisely after retirement. He's become an ambassador to the sport in a sense now, just like Tommy Lasorda.
At the end of the day, he's just a cool regular dude who made many right moves in his life to put him at his current position.
He also most likely made that comment to make the point that the lakers are playing a bunch of d-league scrubs (sacre, morris, earl clark, etc..) since all the starters (except for nash/kobe are injured). Im sure he knows who these laker scrubs are off the record.
