True but a lot of jobs test for recreational drugs...

He's probably more upset about not being able to smoke weed until June than he is about pushing back his arrival in Houston.

    I never noticed/thought about this.

He wasn't going to be in the big leagues this year any way, right? Or at least not to start the season.

So he can still work on everything he needs to be working on up until his suspension is lifted.

Was this a second offense or something? Chooch only got 25 games for an amphetamine (adderall). I was under the impression it was 25 for first offense no matter what the drug was.

Adderall is considered a stimulant and not a PED which is why he got 25 games. The first positive test for a PED is 50 games.

Marijuana can't possibly be considered a PED though which is what is confusing. Maybe it has to do with the legality of the drug, but its still illegal for someone to take adderall when they aren't prescribed it anyway.

Drugs of abuse (weed, uppers, etc.) are illegal and posession can result in criminal action being taken against people. MLB doesn't consider them as "bad" as PEDs though, hence lower suspension.

But he didn't get a lower suspension. He would've gotten the same suspension if he tested positive for PEDs as a first offender.

Balls. Always sucks when a player is suspended for such a dumb thing, but rules be rules. I want pot legalized but if your employer says don't touch it...be better at hiding it.

Didn't Lincecum get caught with pot once or did I just make that up?
