Los Angeles Lakers @ San Antonio Spurs
    Wednesday, January 9th
    5:00 pm Pacific Time
    Local Channel: TWC Sportsnet
    National Channel: ESPN

    ----

While Metta World Peace tried to do his part, the Los Angeles Lakers couldn't overcome the loss of three frontcourt players, including a pair of All-Stars, during their opener to a brief road trip through Texas.

The Lakers will attempt to end that two-game trek on a more positive note Wednesday night but have the daunting task of trying to snap the San Antonio Spurs' 10-game home win streak.

what kind of fan you are?

You have to stick to your team win or lose.

I cant watch the game sicne ill be at work and it starts to early so i wont have finished doing my duties.

If it was two hours later i would watch.

And theres no game lost right from the start.

nahs, kobe, artest, jamison is a four piece better than 75% of what teams around the league have.

It's an ESPN game. Look for Kobe to showcase himself and go full hero mode tonight. Probably a loss. 15-20

Contrary to conventional wisdom before last night's loss to Houston, it seems as if the Lakers really are a better team with big and tall players in the post, even of those players are -- as some people believe -- the worst players to ever lace up a pair of sneakers. So going into tonight's game, against a much more disciplined and experienced team, I think the odds are that we lose.

And if we play the same kind of pathetic, it's-not-my-job defense we played in every single quarter last night, we probably get destroyed.

The one positive I took from last night's game is that Nash still has a fully rounded game. If anything, he should be shooting more and controlling the ball more, because he distorts the opposing team's defense more profitably than any other option we have.

I also like the fact that Kobe has played a much more well-rounded game over the past two contests, and I'd like to see that continue. Subbing Kobe and Nash in and out for each other might also help maintain our offense over the full 48 minutes.

Let's see if the Lakers can pull off the impossible and get a win in San Antonio w/o Gasol, Howard and Hill. Realistically speaking, the only chance the Lakers have is to come out hot today like yesterday and hope the Spurs have an off night.

If D'antoni wants to give us any chance of winning tonight, he should definitely have either Nash or Kobe on the court at all times. When Nash sits, Bryant has to be in to initiate the offense and vice versa. Also, I would like to see Earl Clark get more mins. He did a good job of being active last night and actually tries on defense unlike Jamison. Jamison might just be the worst low post defender I have ever seen. For a player of his caliber, he simply refuses and or has no idea how to guard his man.
