Everyone now knows the LA Lakers are just too old to make much noise this NBA season and the front office now needs to begin adding some younger players or risk becoming an after thought over the next few seasons and that has led to trade speculations on social media in recent weeks.
The latest trade rumor comes from Bleacher Report and has the LA Lakers making a deal for Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson of New Orleans. In return, the Hornets would receive veterans Pau Gasol and Antawn Jamison.
Gordon clearly wants out of New Orleans and has suggested as much when the Hornets matched an offer from Phoenix during the off-season and with both teams struggling with their current rosters, making a deal to land new talent makes sense.
Los Angeles would get two terrific young players that they could build the franchise around after Kobe Bryant decides to hang p his sneakers and the Hornets would get some valuable leadership with the addition of Gasol and Jamison.
With the NBA trade deadline getting closer, look for more trade speculation top hit social media, especially with the season going south for the Lakers and a deal like this could jump start both franchises and give the fans of both teams a bit of optimism for the rest of this season and into next year.
