This is just the beginning. Let's keep it up. History is bound to repeat itself. Let's hope that this time it's for the best.

i actually think it was the first ballot nonsense with him, that 1st ballot is reserved for the super special.

Whats lost in all this is that this one election could screw the hall down the line. You're going to end up getting more eligible players next year and there won't be enough room on the ballot to vote them in.

Something like 20 guys next year have a legit case to be made about their HOF candidacy. How do you vote them in? And that will just carry over to the years after that and after that.

Maddux, Glavine, Thomas, and Biggio will definitely get in next year. Morris barely went up, he might squeak by next year, but I doubt it. Piazza will get in, but I'm not sure if it will be next year. Can't believe he got under 60%. Same with Bagwell.

bagwell and piazza have some steroid whispers about them, biggio was just the politics of vote(the whole "who's a first ballot hofer?"voters have a caste system based on which ballot a guy goes in on)

Wonder how many blank ballots there were and how much closer Biggio would have been had those tools just tossed their ballots in the trash.
