Nonis hired Carlyle when he was GM of the Canucks to coach their farm team. He actually traded Carlyle to Anaheim for a draft pick back when you were allowed to get compensation for management/coaches changing organizations. Nonis goes back further with Carlyle than Burke does. Can't see him going anywhere unless this team turns into a complete gongshow.

Carlyle hasn't even made his mark on the team yet, I'd love to have Eakins but at the same time, as a GM you have to give your current coach that just started an opportunity to do just that.
