The reaction I'm seeing is the SAME as when Jonas was first drafted, when Terrence Ross was first drafted. Too much pessimistic thinking on this forum. There's so much potential for this group to shine. Losing Ed sucks, but he wasn't THAAAAATTTT good. I mean he's pretty damn good, but he's replaceable. I think Memphis fans are more pissed than us, think about it.

This has all the earmarks of his worst deals. Trade away a couple of useful pieces for a guy who is paid like a superstar but has never performed like a superstar, as Bob McKeown just said. It is truly a brutal deal. McKeown is just saying that this means a lot of ISO ball. I agree.

Ed Davis was drafted to be traded. We had an abundance of average PF and a gaping hole at SF. Like I and others have been saying this seemed like a no brainer for us. Here's to hoping this works out for us

You're missing the point on a lot of levels. It's not about Ed, it's about Bargnani. With Ed gone it means Bargnani returns to start and the experiment continues. With Ross and JVal it was the unknown that was the problem, people went off without knowing anything about them. In Gay's case, we know what we're getting and it looks like a brutal mistake.
