    no trades.

round 1: Damontre Moore DE Texas A&M
round 2: Travis Frederick C/G Wisconsin
round 3: Sean Porter OLB Texas A&M
round 4: Jawan Jamison RB Rutgers
round 5: Terry Hawthorne CB Illinois
round 6: Broderick Brown CB Oklahoma State
round 7: Brandon McGee CB Miami(FL)

i know it sucks not adding to cb till late but adding them late combined with some free agents can make our defense better. McGee is a boom or bust guy as he was a top highschool guy but still hasnt developed yet.

Sign me up. If we get Lotuleieli, Moore, Joeckle, or Werner i'm on board (in all honesty, I like Dion Jordan quite a bit too). Don't know a lot about Fredrick, but i'd certainly love to add Porter.

he struggles with Speed but man he stonewalls guys when they bull rush.
hes a great run blocker as most wisconsin linemen are. needs to get a lil smaller from his 335 pounds but should be a good Guard at worst and possible center.

01/04/13 - "Over the past month, I have faced one of the toughest decisions in my life. Though it has been a long and difficult decision making process, I have decided to forgo my final season as a Badger to enter the 2013 NFL Draft.

The decision that I have made has not been easy, and I assure you it has not been made in haste. First, as many of you know, academics are very important to me. I wanted to make sure that I would be able to graduate with a degree from the University of Wisconsin. I am happy to say that I am set to graduate in the spring with a degree in Computer Engineering.

Next, I asked myself if I believed I was ready to take such a large leap in the game of football. I have been incredibly lucky to have played under some great coaches and played with some great players. They have prepared me with the skills, techniques, and football IQ that I believe I need to be successful at the next level.

Lastly, I wondered if I was prepared to make such a huge step in my life. This year has taught me to handle adversity and always take life as a learning experience. I have grown as a person through its struggles and triumphs. Because of this, I feel ready to take this step." - Travis Frederick, Wisconsin football
not a dumb guy judging from that major.

    #72 OC Travis Frederick
-Starting at center – effective with shotgun and normal snaps.
-Gets to the second level after chipping DT, walls off LB.
-A little high out of his stance, loses balance after punch by DT.
-Bends well for a big guy, shows a decent punch.
-Moves very well, excellent pull to his left and cuts down linebacker with ease.
-Keeping his head on a swivel in pass protection – very aware.
-Turns DT and pushes him out of the hole, strong lower body.
-Pulls to the right, able to gain leverage on defensive end.
-Huge combo block, caves in the tackle.
-Locks on to linebacker at second level, so quick out of his stance.
-Pancakes the DT, gains leverage and drives through contact.

Overview: Frederick was the field general against Nebraska, making all the right line calls and blowing the Cornhuskers off the ball on a consistent basis. He was technically sound and showed some amazing athleticism for a 330+ pound man.

    C Travis Frederick, Wisconsin*

    • Outstanding block frees up Montee Ball on his second-and-twenty conversion
    • Brings a blitzing linebacker to the ground on a rushing attempt which goes for a first down
    • Seems to have some trouble with leverage on a goal-line carry; gets stood up and controlled
    • Hasn’t been getting much push up the middle on inside rushing attempts; leverage again

Summary: Frederick did not do much to stand out today; if anything, his lack of dominant plays was somewhat puzzling considering his size and pedigree. He did not make many mistakes, but may be better off in a more aggressive blocking scheme as a right guard in the NFL. Frederick may want to return to school.

    *C #72 Travis Frederick (6’4”, 328)
–junior center that has played guard in the past
–generated big straight surge on iso block on nose
–no issues with snaps despite switching QBs in 2nd quarter; one fumbled snap was on the QB (O’Brien).
–missed his assigned pickup on 3rd snap of game, led to TFL
–popped straight up out of stance and beaten low to his left on 3rd and short that resulted in TFL
–holding penalty that was legit on first drive with Stave at QB
–slid nicely to left on combo block
–had head down and missed delay blitz that resulted in sack/fumble
–good outside surge on quick screen

Overall impression: More than anyone else, Frederick was negatively impacted by the sudden change of OL coaching. He’s only a junior and based on this game tape I would strongly advise him to stay in school and beg the coaching staff to move him to guard.
    theres some evaluations

His injury...that's why. I like him still, but seriously, that injury is serious and i'm not about to take him 2nd overall unless that doesn't look as serious as i've heard.
