    Rob Ryan Fired

    Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter

As @briancoz and ESPN Dallas report, Cowboys have fired DC Rob Ryan.

Dont agree with this one. He did pretty well with a bunch of scrubs towards the end of the year.

Wouldnt mind seeing Lovie Smith though, but I'm sure he rather be head coach.

    Very confused with this one.

I called this one...and finally a smart move from Jerry.

Ryan has always been an overspoken, overrated, DC. Dallas fans should be happy for this one.

Now maybe Dallas can go back to a 4-3 which their talent, if DL is addressed early in draft, is more suited to

I thought you would never say that.

Rob Ryan never had a winning season whenever he's the defensive coordinator. So I say this is a good move, I never felt Jason Garrett was 100% committed to Rob Ryan as the defensive coordinator.

Y2K what do you think about Lovie Smith?

Lovie, Romeo Crenell are a couple of former high profile DC's that were fired from HC jobs this year. A lot of People forget Romeo was highly thought of when he was the DC in New England.

It seems everyone is in danger of losing their jobs except Garrett. Ryan put together a good defense and did what he could with what he had at the end of the year. I would've liked to see him have one more year with a healthy defense. If he didn't get the job done, then show him the door. So now who will be DC? Now the players have to learn a new defense and get use to a new coach, that could lead to a bad year on defense.

I just heard on GAC that they're looking into hiring Dave Wannstedt. Jerry needs to stop living in 1992.

Saw someone post this in ESPN/dallas

"Rob Ryan has never had a defense in the top ten. Rob Ryan has never had a defense that ranked higher than 17th in the league in takeways. In Oakland and in Cleveland, he was never higher than 26th against the run. He's very over hyped. Maybe it was the dead last ranking in interceptions, and playing Carr and Claiborne in soft coverage that did him in."

    Good point.

Crennel and Horton are the top 2 choices IMO

Lovie is going to be a head coach somewhere
