Lol all you want. I recommend you do a deep dive into Trout's power numbers over the 3 years he spent in the minors and compare them to his MLB numbers. They just don't make sense.
Then take a solid look at the characteristics of people who are using the newest versions of PED's. Once again Trout has an uncanny number of the most obvious ones.
You are probably right though. Most top sport performances these days are due strictly to talent, hard work, and nothing else.
Quest to watch a game in all 30 baseball stadiums, so far I have seen: Arizona, Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Colorado, Detroit, Houston, Kansas City, LA Angels, LA Dodgers, Miami, NY Mets, NY Yankees, Philly, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, St. Louis, San Diego, Seattle, Tampa Bay, Texas, Toronto, Washington
Homer would be correct
Close. Really close. But Trout
Harper
Stanton = future home run king

Stanton for me. His power potential is just insane. If he could just increase his walk rate, which will happen while lowering his K rate, he will be an absolute freak. Plus he plays great defense, unlike most power hitters.
OK, "very good" to say the least. Stanton is a well above average defender. Every defensive metrics points to that. Stanton was 2nd only to Heyward in UZR/150 among RFs since his callup season and TOP 10 in UZR/150 overall among outfielders since his callup season. So, Stanton is no butcher himself. Even if you want to look at other metrics, he is consistently near the top. Stanton is an underrated defender. Many people are quick to point out Heyward as the superior defender, yet do not acknowledge Stanton's above average defense as well.

Trout easily. He plays a more demanding position, plays it better, is a better baserunner, and already has had a more valuable ML season than Stanton ever has. Even if I thought Trout's remarkable season was a huge fluke, Stanton hasn't proven he can stay healthy. Players his age with knee and ligament concerns make me worry.
