And subsequently lost his job all in the process. That is amazing.

He didn't lose his job Toad. He was two for two and the team was driving down the field when he got hurt. He had muscle damage in his forearm. Maybe similar to the one "Bruise Brother" had that knocked him out of his only playoff game. When the doctors looked at Blaine's arm they said it would take a long while to heal properly. He was already playing with a rotator cuff tear in his other shoulder. Jaguars were 1-9 for the season. Fathead Henne comes in and plays the game of his career (while still managing to lose). So, it wasn't a difficult call to shut down Gabbert for the year, allow him to have shoulder surgery, and get a better start on next season. What were the Jags playing for at the time? Nothing. The more games they lost from that point on the better is was for the team long term.

Not really. Henne's numbers at the end of the year were worse than Gabbert's. Chad got one big game in when the defense wasn't expecting to see him and the receivers got lots of yards after catch. Other than that he stunk and the team stunk. Although that borderline ****** Blackmon did seem to finally learn the playbook for the second half of the season. He was on the verge of getting benched before the message finally got through.

Well, the guy can probably buy a medium sized Balkan nation with a year's salary. Ridiculous.

Only Alpha and co. could turn a GM hiring thread into a Gabbert thread...

Serious, can people delete some posts or something? This just gets old.

maybe Hennes Numbers are worse cuz he threw it nearly 31 times a game(average was calculated with total attempts and games played and equaled 30.8)and some of the ints were deflected/tipped ball picks which is primarily a luck play.

how does averaging 40 more yards a game from gabberts 166.2 to hennes 208.4 all without a healthy MJD and a constantly revolving door at RB? how does throwing More Tds(henne with 1.1 vs gabberts .9) Hennes number would be more impressive if i even looked into the games and counted how many plays he played in the 4 games he came on in relief of Blaine.
