He would be a great fit. Pretty underrated player.
He's pretty much the best option left for us. I hope we can get something worked out for him.
Morse can play a few different positions which could offer older guys like Youk and Tex to get DH spots when available.
I'm just worried that too many other teams will also want Morse. I'm not sure what it might take for a 1 year rental of Morse.
ray:
I would like the Yankees to trade for him. Then trade Granderson to Mil for C Lucroy.

Damn! I lost the bet on when this thread would pop up by an hour!
But yes, I'll take him.

Funny comment I saw about Yanks getting Morse:

Would be a great fit..lock him up..
The Redeem Team
Would be a great move. Just hope they don't trade too much for him. I also like the idea of granderson for lucroy

Morse would be great, but I'm pretty certain he sees himself as a starter and not some guy off the bench. Considering what the yankees will need to give up to get him I'm not sure I see the point. Not to mention, if the yankees do get him, will he want to re sign with the yankees after being relegated to a small utility role in 2013?
There are men, in all ages, who mean to exercise power usefully; but who mean to exercise it. They mean to govern well; but they mean to govern. They promise to be kind masters; but they mean to be masters.

I'd almost be willing to part with a nut to get this guy.
Cashman though will inevitably refuse to negotiate all the while touting franchise balance and harmony while protecting the budding career of one Dellin Betances.
