Without that, Manning might well have zero rings.
As it is, he threw 3 TD's and 7 picks in that postseason.
He also has that "Tracy Porter" moment that I'm sure he's not too crazy about. A pick 6 of all things, at the most crucial time, on football's biggest stage?
    HUGE fail.
So what are you getting at?

he is already ahead of brady and its not even close, people like you put too much empahsis on QBs winning super bowls, eli has 2 and isnt even in the same school let alone class as peyton

if he wins great, if not guess what he will still be a top 2-3 QB of all time
brady's not even close to manning huh....please just go ahead and put the list up of manning's inflated stats because he had no run game for years and failed to establish one. people put emphasis on winning super bowls, because thats the ultimate goal. are we supposed to put only emphasis on regular season passing yardage stats and how we do against the jaguars and titans twice a year. come on man. your a jet fan and you dont like brady.....thats cool, but saying its not even close is just plain DUMB. you can have regular season stats and mvp's and i'll take clutch and super bowls. and before you comeback at me with " how did that work out last year?" brady played great in the super bowl. his 5th super bowl i might add. and eli is in the same school in the class room next door

In Brady's last two Super Bowls the offense put up 17 and 14 points. Not cutting it on the big stage.

Totally agree. Past 2 super bowls for Brady have been failure.

Then shouldn't his legacy take a hit considering he's lost almost as many Super Bowls as he's won?

And for what its worth, completely arbitrary MVP's mean something but not much. The award is voted upon and comes with all the regional bias' that entails. Is it really any different than the voting in ice skating or gymnastics?

In no way did Manning deserve that MVP over Brees in 2009.
That one was a joke, plain and simple.
And he split one MVP w/ Steve McNair, so by any measure, he has 3.5 MVP's.

In 11 postseasons Peyton Manning has been one-and-done 7 times.
    Not cutting it.

If it's that cut and dried then there should be no MVP award.

No doubt, but you should also put as much emphasis on winning as losing, and Brady is almost equal on those two. If he was that much greater shouldn't he have put the team on his back and won at least one of those?
