Petition for the Removal of Mike D'antoni from Head Coaching Duties.

This is a petition, from the fans of the Los Angeles Lakers, for the removal of the head coach of said basketball team.

Mike D'Antoni is not the proper fit for this team and is not competent enough to handle the duties that were given to him. He is having an immense negative effect on the Lakers family as a whole: team record, coalescence, offensive and defensive structures, fan frustration, and psyche of Lakers players.

His lack of a proper personnel and understanding of player management has put the Lakers in a difficult situation that may seriously jeopardize the 2012-2013 season and potentially future NBA seasons for the Los Angeles Lakers.

As concerned Laker fans - who put fiscal, timely, and emotional investments into the Lakers - we demand that change for the better begin immediately, starting with the removal of Mike D'Antoni as the head coach.

Are you retarded? How'd the Lakers win back to back championships? Gasol and Kobe for one and then Bynum and Gasol. Not saying they're the reason they won, but they won with two 7-footers. It can be done.

The problem honestly boils down to one thing, besides lack of defense: D'Antoni does not know how to manage his players. His rotations are all crazy. Jamison gets 3 minutes a game now after sitting 6 straight. He doesn't know how to use his offense to the strengths of his players. Phil Jackson knew how to do that, Jerry Sloan knew how to do that. Why do you think PJ has as many rings and wins as he does? He knows how to use his superstars with fillers in a system designed for the success of the team. This team is designed now to be a low post force with pick and rolls and pick and pops with Nash/Kobe/Gasol. D'Antoni is playing them like the 2005 Phoenix Suns, run and gun with the 3 pointer. He's just not getting it. Our team isn't a 3 point shooting team, even though we have some decent shooters. If we got 1-2 more shooters then it might flow a little better, but as-is this team, under D'Antoni, isn't really going anywhere except the lottery. :/

Not to be a nay-sayer, but I think everyone likes Lakers out of the top 8 spot...now only if we can get Spurs to screw up like Dallas/Minn(from injury), and find a way to remove thunder from the western picture!

If this would happen, then the west would be a lot better place to prosper for teams who can never make it, cause of increased number of "too good" of teams.


I think Lakers "whatever" excuse/reason for losing is magnified by the fact that Clippers are the new highlight, and "dominate" team in the Staples Center.

Nets fired their coach and are doing good, and now you fired your coach and aren't doing good. I don't know if the coach is the problem. I mean if your players can't win, then your players can't win(even with kobe as nba highest ppg, you still can't win).

Its like the Cav's. They have a great scorer, but just can't win, but I seriously doubt with a new coach that this team would do any better, and same goes to Lakers(even though I think your old coach was a better choice, and now your just stuck with three huge problems that no one wants(your coach, gasol, and howard)
