Just a question? how can this banned "spammer" still posts, I always assumed that when a poster or a spammer gets banned they loose all privileges to post. In this situation I'm confused.

Just means they were banned after that post happened and the actual post hasn't been/wasn't deleted.

Going along these lines, can a banned member still log in? I saw one of them lurking around. Thought if you were banned you can't even log in.

what happens is this. Say you report a spam post, and no super mods are on, or don't see it. A regular mod who doesn't have powers in the forum the spam is in, will ban the spammer to prevent him from spamming further. Then when a super mod is on or a mod that is from that forum the spam is in will delete it. Now I personally have said we should all be super mods so everyone can deal with this. Or have everyone able to delete spam anywhere, but i've been shot down everytime. Now fixing the spam would be ideal too, they keep saying it's right around the corner so i'm hoping it's fixed soon.

Currently, only Super Mods and Admins have the ability to "Delete Posts as Spam" which deletes all of a banned users posts automatically. So, if a spammer is banned by another mod their other posts will remain and they will show as "banned".

Definitely looking to change this moving forward.

IMO, all Mods should have the ability to "Delete Posts as Spam" and clear everything with a couple of simple clicks.

Oh wow. Everytime I have brought this up I was shot down like an Apache helicopter in Kosovo. Please please please change this. It'd be so much better and the spam would be handled so much quicker. People probably wouldn't complain about the amount of spam as much if everyone could delete because they wouldn't see it!
