If we decide to keep Rip, who should be starting?

    Marco: 15.3 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 1.8 APG, 43.2 FG%, 40.8 3PT% in 36.3 MPG (starting)
    Rip: 12.6 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 2.5 APG, 45.2 FG%, 39.1 3PT% in 25.6 MPG

Punting the advanced stats for now because I'm too lazy to calculate Marco's as a starter. Just a curious question anyway, since I've seen support for both in different threads.

And I'm leaving Jimmy/Cook/whoever else out of the poll and focusing on the main two options right now.

I'm rolling with Marco. I actually think Rip could help stabilize the bench (along with Kirk once Rose returns) if we keep him.

Marco has a chance to improve while Rip just has a chance to play well.

    Rose/Marco/Deng/Boozer/Noah

    Hinrich/Hamilton/Butler/Gibson + Nate

that's what I hope to see once Rose returns. Marco starts.

And by y play I think Rip has moved down to the 3rd SG spot till otherwise . Butler ahead of him for now till Rip gets his rhythm back .

It's kinda stupid that Butler gets so little PT. He's probably our 2nd best perimeter defender.

Part of the reason I'd like to trade Rip for a C.

I don't think Thibs will ever have Rip come off the bench. Seems like he's only effective with the starters hence you hardly, if ever see Rip play with bench guys while Marco can go both ways.

When Rose comes back I say Marco but right now I say Rip because Marco can play better off the bench than Rip and I don't want Rip to become useless. Rip only plays well as a starter with just 20 minutes and that's good enough at the SG.

I have to go with Marco. I love how Rip has played when healthy, and he's been pleasantly efficient and productive for us. But I think using him in a bench role will work well with him being a source for offense and a bit of playmaking with that unit.

Marco seems to thrive on the confidence that comes with starting, and I'd like to see him continue that. His superior 3-point shooting and offensive arsenal will be really nice with Rose on the floor.

Likewise, with hopefully an extra big added some how, some way

Thibs won't disrespect nor can he justify not starting rip. But what he can do is keep his minutes like they are and keep Marco like they are so Marco can be on the floor at some points in the game with rose.

Rip will 100% be moved, thats why we signed Cook over a C. rip will likely be moved out for a quality backup big. dont know who, but it will be soon.

I picked Marco because I love him and Rose, and I love Rip coming off the bench. But I would also have Rip closing games.
