Well, Laroche is taking a long time to sign somewhere. Nats ain't doing anything with Morse if Laroche signs elsewhere.

I can't believe they're even entertaining showing preference on a mediocre hack like LaRoche over Morse.

    Mind Boggling.

    Baffling even.

Get over yourself. It's a decent signing if we get him. But given the posts I've seen about him recently you'd act like he was a perennial MVP candidate. I just can't get as excited as some about a platoon RFer.

No real anger. And no complaints. A reasonable piece to a RF platoon I suppose. People simply seem a bit too excited about a platoon RFer.

I kinda would've liked Raul at this point.

Last time the Yankees made a notable move to help the team was with the Kevin Youkilis deal.

This is something that would bring some excitement because Hairston would be a new face who will contribute for this team. Everyone likes having a new guy to root for, especially one who hit 20 bombs for the Mets.

Let people have their fun. He's much better fit for this team than Andruw Jones.

I just want people to acknowledge what these guys are, supporting pieces.

Gotta say though this is not a new feeling for me from Sturtze to Proctor to SickNick Johnson this just seems in line with the past.

And perhaps it is. But normally we didn't lose major pieces and replace them with platoon components, career backups, and guys on their decline. It's very hard to get excited about this offseason. I see what is attempting to be done. But if financial constraints were the key, we could have went even cheaper.

Most offseasons posters are talking guys like King Felix and Carl Crawford. This offseason people are hoping for Jeff Keppinger, AJ, and now Scott Hairston. Just feels like a lousy offseason man.
