    Wink B.Myers Overrated

I was reading an article on Espn on how the raiders may not be able to afford keeping myers. I couldn’t help but to laugh. Myers IMO is overrated by some raider fans, analyst and coaches. Myers made some good catches for us but alot of myers catches came in garbage time. I’m not saying myers is the worst TE to play the game but he’s not elite nor a top 10 TE. I really hope raiders don’t break the bank on this guy. Myers was ineffective and nowhere to be seen in some games this season. If anything myers should be thanking the raiders and giving us a huge discount based on the fact that we gave him a shot to start. I wouldn’t mind him back but I honestly will rather go with Ausberry. Ausberry needs to improve but when he has the ball in his hand he isn’t scared to get hit and the kid is strong man I remember a play he made in the dolphins game where he threw a defender across the field with one arm. Myers isnt worth much money I would rather bring back kevin boss. We need a big TE that could help us in the red zone so palmer has someone to throw to instead of throwing fades all the time hoping DHB and Moore make a play. I love jano but im tired of him also kicking 5-25 yard field goals when the raiders should be getting touchdowns.

    B.Myers Overrated

Myers is not overrated, in fact he's underrated. As far as him disappearing in some games it had more to do with the need for him to stay I'm more to block because the opposing defense had great pass rushers. Also, no coincidence he led the team in receptions and was Carson's favorite target...the guy catches everything unlike Denarius and DHB.

That being said, we cannot and should not overpay to keep him, (is he even a free agent?) when we have so many holes.

He's gonna want more than we should pay. Probably gonna let him walk.

He was a backup when Miller and Boss were there. I think that says it all. He's starting because we had no other choice, along with a lot of other starters.
He led the team in receptions because Palmer couldn't pass to anyone else because he didn't have time.
If he chooses to leave, I'm not losing any sleep.

The truth is, he was force fed the ball because he had the only reliable hands on the team. I appreciate him not dropping the ball, but that is pretty much all he brings to the table as a receiving target (he is a good blocker). He is not a real redzone threat, and he moves like an offensive lineman. We should go after Dustin Keller if the price is right.

Lulz no he's not overrated. It's so funny to me how our decent/good players, some of y'all think they don't want to be here. Or that they'll be gone. Ever thought that they might actually want to be here? Or they do want to stay?

Come on let's see a little optimism.

We're not going to be a bad team forever. Some players DO see that we're on the right track.

It's not like we have a lot of money OR options. I'm just throwing that out there
    Don't like me?

Go have a seat with the rest of the putas waiting for me to give a flying fk.

myers is awesome. y'all can point out that he backed up miller and boss till you're blue in the face, but he made boss expendable. he's in his prime, or almost about to hit his prime, and is the most reliable target for whoever throws to him.

here's a rule of thumb: would bronco fans would want him out of oakland?

Oh, because Brandon Myers has singlehandedly destroyed the Broncos at some point in his career, right?

Myers put up 2 catches for 29 yards in two games of work against Denver this year. Denver would probably pick up the tab to keep him for us if we promised them he would start.

Only 16 of Myers' 79 catches came in wins. None of his astounding 4 touchdowns came in wins. Only 163 of his 806 yards came in wins. He is Palmer's garbage time counterpart.

he is a game changer. just because we won 4 games doesn't mean he's worthless. or that he's a bum. palmer had so many passing yards because of him. you think ausberry can do what he can do? lol. ok.

The point we are trying to make here is he is probably going to be disappointed if he asks for a top 5 TE paycheck. We didn't insult him as a man or suggest he contributes nothing at all to a team. He racked up a lot of catches on check downs from a dysfunctional offense. He offers basically nothing after the catch. He does not dominate in the red zone. Period
