GM: Kevin Love out number of weeks

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love met with doctors in the Twin Cities on Monday to evaluate his right hand, which is broken for the second time this season.

Timberwolves president of basketball operations David Kahn says Love also will consult with a hand specialist in New York this week before determining a course of action. There is no timetable for his return, but Kahn says Love will be out for "a number of weeks."

Love missed the first three weeks of the season after breaking his hand during the preseason. He broke it again last week in Denver.

Kahn also says point guard Ricky Rubio is expected to play Tuesday against Atlanta after missing four games with back spasms.

Broken hand, ah this is rough for the wolves. Surprisingly they have been able to keep it together. Pek is a monster

Pek is gonna have to keep this team afloat for another long stretch of time it seems.

yeah, we had this topic. Like I said, the Wolves injuries have moved from a head shaker to comical at this point. If there are basketball gods, they have zip interest in the Wolves being successful.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

Welcome to the Nets last season.
    I survived Stephon Marbury's inability
Jason Kidd, Kenyon Martin, Richard Jefferson era
I survived them all leaving, a 12-70 season and not getting the #1 pick
    Mikhail Prokhorov buys the Nets
    I survived Melodrama
    Deron Williams traded here
I survived 248 games missed due to injury, 5 d-league call-ups, 14 different lineups in ONE season, Johan Petro
    I survived Dwightmare
    I survived Avery & PJC's rotations

History of the Wolves injuries this season:
Love breaks hand, misses 3 weeks
Chase Budinger goes down, expected to miss the majority of the season
Brandon Roy goes down, may retire again
Rubio returns about a month earlier than expected...then has back spasms
Wolves sign Josh Howard due to all the injuries...Josh Howard gets injured, and is out for the season
A 2nd year player, who came from the 2nd round in his draft class named Malcolm Lee, needs to start for the Wolves because of all the injuries...he gets injured, and will miss the rest of the season.
Kevin Love comes back from hand injury, and breaks hand again...expected to miss more time than his original injury.
Anrei Kirilenko, Nikola Pekovic, JJ Barea...all miss significant time too

Windsor, Earth's Rectum (as reported by Stephen Colbert).
That has gotta suck for T-Wolves fans... another season going down due to injury :-(

Time to call in Kenyon Martin or Chris Andersen... or start giving Derrick Williams the minutes he wants.
Why did the chicken cross the basketball court?
Because he heard the refs were blowing fowls.
