would be great to see the Bourque name in our Black and Gold jerseys, that should get a good response from the crowd too. I think Hamilton will get the # 6 but Krug will get a good look for a job. Krug looked pretty good when he played those two games with the big club before the playoffs last year, like somebody else here said, i wouldn't like to see him sitting in the pressbox either so that could play into the decision making progress with a promising young player. Spooner may get a shot but that is if Caron doesn't stick, he looked really good the last half of last year but i haven't seen / heard good things from the ahl on him

    Per Jimmy Murphy:

Spoke to Bruins President Cam Neely earlier and he/Bruins brass expect prospect D Dougie Hamilton to be in B's lineup for season opener

By color-coded jerseys, lines the same as last year, with Bourque wearing third-line jersey. #Bruins

#Bruins practice: So far, rookie D Dougie Hamilton is partnered most often w/Dennis Seidenberg. Other pairs: Chara-Boychuk, Ference-McQuaid.
Be interesting to see if PC keeps Dougie with Seids. It would make sense seeing as that Seids could help make up for Dougie's rookie lapses.

I can tolerate Ference-Mcquaid. Boychuk and Chara is aight, I'm still not a fan of Boychuk's mishaps at the back end and the offensive blueline.

Hamilton with Seids seems like a solid pair, Seidenberg is defenitely the guy Hamilton wants to learn the defensive side from. Both can skate and move the puck out well. Sounds like a good pair to me.

hopefully Hamilton can play well enough that maybe by the end we'll see:

    Hamilton-Chara
    Seids-Boychuk
    McQ-Ference

obviously a lot of **** would have to happen i.e Hamilton play amazing but that a man can dream

I think Dougie being paired with Seids is the best thing for him and hope they stay together for for the long term. Having Seids will provided more opportunity for Hamilton to make plays then playing with Big Z on a shift by shift basis. With Z on the floor he is one of the focal points of the offense. I think you might see Dougie paired with Big Z on the power play right out of the gate, but other then that I think being paired with Seids shift after shift is better for the kid.

You may see this on the PP if Dougie can show he'd be effective on it. Imagine Dougie and Chara bombing one timers from the point
