    Rumor: RG3 Has Torn ACL/PCL Edit: MRI inconclusive

    @themightygwinn: Rumors out of DC, that will likely be confirmed at the Shananigan presser @ 2 EST, is that RG3 tore his ACL/PCL. 9-12 month recovery time.

    That is horrible news for Redskins fans, and if true, the second time he's torn his ACL.

    Horrible decision letting him play.

    @themightygwinn

    October/November would be time-frame for RG3 return. But, this is his 2nd ACL. Which, means chances of a 3rd tear go up exponentially now.

    @themightygwinn

    And of course, this will effectively end the trade Kirk Cousins movement. #RIP #HTTR

    @themightygwinn

    @NDKalu indeed. no doubt Shananigan will remind us of that when he tries to explain why he tried to paralyze the guy he traded 3 pix for.

    I'll believe it when I see it from a source that calls Mike Shanahan by his real name.

    If it's true he needs to sit out next year and get completely healthy. I don't think this situation should be compared to AP's at all when it comes to a quick recovery.

    Here is another source..

    Dan Steinberg @dcsportsbog

    Uh RT @MattFaulconer10 Fred Smoot on The Fan reporting that he "heard from people in the building" that RG3 has a torn ACL / PCL.

    If this is true this obviously ruins their playoff hopes for next season

    Could be fake or a bitter radio host with a bad sense of humor (@ the Shananigan reference).

    ^ Not saying it's true, but ex-Redskin Fred Smoot said over a radio show that he's heard people throughout the org. say he tore his ACL/PCL.

    Wow... That's brutal.

    Jason Collins claims he is the first openly gay NBA player despite the fact we witnessed the entire league bend the Lakers over all season.

    I don't mean it this way. I like RGIII and his talent as a pocket passer, but in a way, another one bites the dust.

    Tebow, Cam, RGIII, Vick, V. Young, etc.

    All these young "it" running/option QB's that were supposed to take over the league will be no different. You can't pass. You can't play. Don't believe the hype.

    At least Griffin is the best passer among that group. He separates himself because he actually can pass.

    But his game needs to change. NOW!

    How did Cam bite the dust, exactly?

    i listened to the radio..and he said he heard that it may be ACL/PCL, but no body in the organization said that at all, and to not quote him.
