Does anyone see Daniel Bard having a big offseason/Spring Training and making a comeback into the bullpen?
I still believe in him. Relievers have fragile minds and it's clear Bard's problem last year was mental. Maybe coming into this season strictly as a reliever will get him right again. He certainly has the stuff, filthy FB/SL combo.
I like Bard's chances considering that we have two potential closers in Hanrahan and Bailey, two more potential setup guys in Tazawa and Uehara, and Aceves for the time being who has closer experience. There is no bullpen in the MLB that Bard we be under less pressure in IMO.
The key arm is Bard to come in quiet rallies. we got none of that from 2012.

I don't quite agree. Bard altered his mechanics and approach slightly to try to be able to get deep into games as a start. The mental part took over from there; he got into a rut and couldn't get back out. Farrell commented on the physical differences in his pitching shortly after coming back and Bard himself talked about it last year as well.
I agree with the idea that his issues are correctable and that a mental adjustment will be a big part of that.
Looks like he won't be back.Right-hander Scott Atchison expects to sign a minor league deal with a team other than the Red Sox this week, writes MLB.com's Evan Drellich. Atchison told Drellich the team he's closing in on will give him a good chance to make the Major League bullpen. Atchison was diagnosed with a partial UCL tear last August but has had "great results" in letting it heal with rest and rehab.

Mets signed Scott Atchison to a minor league contract.
Bard should be fine if he decides to throw strikes in 2013
