Well I guess we're off and running then! I've been away in Central America for the entire lockout and I'm heading home through LA next week, so I guess I'll get there just in time for the season to start.

I think Connauton could force the Canucks into amnestying Ballard.

Ballard is the one guy that should be amnestied. He's been awful here.

Tanev and Conn need to be on the roster full time.

From what I've heard Connauton is struggling.

He's young, I expect some struggles. I think the best thing for him is a trial by fire, let him gain confidence with the big boys.

If they pair him up with the defensively responsible Tanev or Hamhuis, it might work.

They could give him preferential minutes too. Mostly offensive zone time/faceoffs.

What I was getting at was that the club sounds like they want to keep him at the AHL level to learn down there.

Of the bunch, Tanev, Kassian and Schroeder should be near locks to make the team. Ebbett really has no value other than a bench change type. I want to see JS get some work in with the second line.

What do Canucks fans think about the Hodgson for Kassian trade at this point?
